INVITATION
I would like to take this opportunity to extend a general invitation to those ASRA members
( in particular) those with Solo bikes to attend one of our Vintage Speedway events next year see calendar :
2025 Vintage Speedway & Kart Events
8th March
17th May
9th August
6th September
18th October
I would envisage members in attendance with bikes to put them on display
and for those that wish to participate in some parade/demonstration laps during the lunch break
would be most welcome to do so .
Accordingly we would send you complimentary family passes for each of those members wishing to attend .
*** It's a busy time for our local motels at our Vintage events, so get in early to secure your accommodation.
Alternatively there are water & powered camp sites at our Illabo Motorsport Park circuit .

LIVERPOOL MUSEUM 2024 & 2025
In conjunction with the free exhibition : The Place of Pace Liverpool Speedway 1967 - 1989, the Liverpool Regional Museum is planning a display in the carpark and surrounds of the Museum on the 1st March 2025. It is planned that the promotion will focus and highlight the cars and motorcycles that raced at the Speedway and include a static display of both the cars and bikes and memorabilia.
Would the ASRA members be able to set up a display incorporating the motorcycles? The day will officially start at 10.00am and conclude at 2.00pm.
If the ASRA can attend can you let me know as there will be a lot of planning required? (contact John Walker if interested )
Also on Saturday 7th December 2024 11am - 12.30 pm I will be presenting a talk also at the Liverpool Regional Museum.
It is titled No Brakes, No Gears No Fear and generally relates to the history and how Speedway motorcycling works.
I gave this talk earlier this year and it was noted that by and large the majority of attendees have never been to a Speedway meeting.
